The Samajhdari Team, including Jaya Luintel, Anu Upadhayay, and Pawan Neupane, created the Cassette tapes as part of the VOICES project, supported by the UN Trust Fund to end violence against women. The Cassettes present the core issue of Samajhdari, which is the intersection between violence against women and HIV, in two cassettes, each of which deals with one side of the intersection: part one explains the risks of HIV transmission due to violence against women and part two exposes the violence women living with HIV experience. Narrowcasting of the cassettes will target migrant populations who are at high risk of HIV infection, and will be played in transit, at transit points, and long route bus and van journeys.
