Raghu Thapalia - Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
Mr. Raghu Thapalia joined Equal Access Nepal as M&E Coordinator starting effective December 1, 2008. Mr. Thapalia brings with him over 25 years of experience in community development sector that is obtained working with different international organizations such as the Commission of European Communities (EC’s rural development project), the World Bank (rural water and sanitation project), Asian Development Bank (water supply project and rural road project) and Save the Children USA (rural development programs). These organizations primary focus use to remain on poverty alleviation, rural water supply and sanitation, agriculture, micro-enterprise, women’s development, health, hygiene and education. His area of expertise is focused on project design, monitoring, research, evaluation, policy formulation, planning and budgeting. This also includes preparing project proposals, managing grants, making various assessment and appraisal works. He completed his Master's Degree in International Administration from School for International Training, Brattleboro, Vermont, USA in 1991. He is fluent in Nepali and English languages and has fair command in Hindi language. He has so far traveled to many parts of Nepal, USA and India along with Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Denmark and Singapore. Born on April 21, 1961 he lives with his wife, son and daughter in a house very close to EA Nepal’s office.
